So I read up on Masi Oka. It says under occupation: FX engineer. I can't quite imagine what he does. I mean I've seen enough FX on movies to know the end product. But how be a FX engineer? So I told myself, if I am given another chance, i want to know what a FX engineer do and perhaps be one.
Fast forward 3 years later. Here I am. Halfway through grad school. I am learning exactly what he is doing, loving it. I can be FX engineer when I graduate if I choose to be. That scares me. Grad school still scares me but I am doing it, and oh boy do I work hard at it. The madness, the workload and I still have my day job on top of that.
So it really urks me when they say things like, "Oh if you keep this pace, pretty soon you can be Solution Architect."
I scratch my head. What makes you think I care?
